I <br /> Mr Ronald Rowe Project 22611-100 002 <br /> January 27, 1999 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Task 1 - Prefield Activities <br /> Prior to implementing the field investigation, EMCON will perform the following <br /> activities <br /> • schedule drilling contractor and materials <br /> • conduct utility clearance <br /> Task 2 - Field Activities <br /> The field investigation will include the following <br /> • supervise drilling of two exploratory borings to approximately 100 feet bgs by <br /> California licensed drilling contractor using S inch diameter hollow stem auger <br /> drilling equipment <br /> ia collect continuous soil samples from 60 to 100 feet bgs <br /> • field screen soil using both FID and PID <br /> • collect HydroPunch groundwater samples at distinct changes in lithology <br /> (assumes 4 samples per boring) <br /> • install groundwater monitoring wells and vapor extraction wells, it warranted, <br /> based upon field observations and field screening results, wells will be <br /> constructed using 2 inch diameter PVC casing, screen intervals will not exceed 20 <br /> feet in length <br /> • coordinate disposal of soil cuttings and auger wash water generated during <br /> drilling <br /> • develop and collect water samples from wells (if installed) <br /> Task 3 - Laboratory Analysis of Samples <br /> Soil and groundwater samples will be submitted with chain of custody documentation to a <br /> state certified analytical laboratory Laboratory analysis includes the following <br /> CP1E 1APACi1E1REPORTs1APACP101 DOC 981Isg 1 Emcon <br />
