Site Background
compounds detected may be due to naturally occurring organic material and this concentration
does not appear to pose a significant threat to human health or the environment(Lowney,2000).
This investigation did not assess shallow soils, less than 5 feet bgs, or groundwater at the subject
property.
Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, 2000,URS
In 2000,URS conducted a Phase I ESA for the subject property and concluded that the Stockton
Fire Department Engine Co.#3 should be further researched as it was listed as a LUST site and
is adjacent to the subject property. URS also stated that based on visual site observations and
regulatory record searches, the site could have sustained potential environmental impacts from
past or present land usage either from the site or other known facilities within a 1-mile radius.
Phase I Environmental Site Assessment,2010,ME
In April of 2010,a Draft Phase I ESA Update report was prepared by E&E as part of this TBA.
As part of the 2010 Draft Phase I ESA Update, E&E identified the following recognized
environmental condition(REC) in connection with the subject property:
• The City of Stockton Fire Department Station 3 located adjacent to and west of the
subject site is a LUST site that is documented to have released petroleum hydrocarbons to
the groundwater. Based on the up-gradient hydrologic relationship with the subject
property, this facility is considered to potentially pose a REC to the subject site.
14.%2693.1401.01BR 2-3
EI Comilio No.I
