E <br />0 <br />Sims Metal Management Emergency R ne 2010 <br />9.5 As soon as decontamination is complete transfer patient care to 911 responders <br />if it hasn't already occurred. <br />9.6 Notify the Emergency Coordinator of the occurrence as soon as possible. <br />9.7 An accident report must be completed in detail and submitted to the SHEC <br />Coordinator within 72 hours. <br />10.0 Equipment Damage 1 Failure <br />10.1 Immediately shut off any equipment that suffers damage unless doing so would <br />cause further damage or create unsafe conditions. <br />10.2 Shut off all feed and discharge valves, pumps, vacuum and pressure lines, and <br />any other equipment in use in conjunction with the damaged unit. <br />10.3 Notify the Emergency Coordinator immediately for further instructions. <br />10.4 DO NOT attempt to fix the equipment yourself unless directed to do so by the <br />Emergency Coordinator. <br />10.5 The person noting the damage or using the equipment when the damage <br />occurred will fill out an equipment damage report, which shall be submitted to the <br />SHEC Coordinator. If the damage occurred because the equipment was faulty <br />action will be taken to affect repair. In the event of purely cosmetic damage to <br />equipment, repair may be postponed until after project completion. <br />10.6 Inspection of the damaged equipment will be made prior to returning it to service. <br />11.0 Natural Disasters <br />11.1 During a shift: <br />11.1.1 In the event that a natural disaster occurs during a duty shift, follow the <br />lead of local authorities regarding evacuation, staging, and so on. If a <br />natural disaster threatens, DO NOT risk life or limb to protect Sims Metal <br />Management NW's equipment or property. <br />11.1.2 Earthquake Please refer to Earthquake Preparedness Plan, and <br />Earthquake Safety Training PPT <br />11.1.3 Tornado <br />11.1.3.1 Seek shelter immediately. Attempt to find a storm cellar right <br />away; if one is not available, fleeing the storm in a company or <br />personal vehicle is appropriate. <br />11.1.3.2 Proceed to the rally point established during the tailgate safety <br />meeting as soon as possible following the storm so an accurate <br />head count can be made. <br />
