WASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS <br /> GOLD BOND BUILDING PRODUCTS, INC. <br /> NATIONAL GYPSUM COMPANY <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> 4. The discharge shall not have a pH less than 6.5 nor greater than 8.5. <br /> 5. The discharge shall not have a settleable matter concentration <br /> exceeding 0.1 ml/l . <br /> 6. The maximum daily discharge shall not exceed 3.5 million gallons. <br /> 7. The Discharger shall use the best practical cost effective control <br /> technique currently available to limit mineralization to no more than <br /> a reasonable increment. <br /> 8. The discharge shall not cause visible oil , grease, floating or <br /> suspended material in McDougald Slough. <br /> C. Effluent Limitations to Mormon Slough: <br /> 1. Temperature of the discharge shall not exceed 96`F (3500) at any time. <br /> 2. The maximum temperature of the discharge shall not exceed the <br /> background receiving water by more than 20°F (7°C) . <br /> D. Receiving Water Limitations, Mormon Slough: <br /> 1. The discharge shall not cause a detectable chlorine residual in Mormon <br /> Slough (detection limit 0.02 mg/1 ) . <br /> 2. The discharge shall not cause visible oil , grease, scum, foam, <br /> floating or suspended material in the receiving waters or water- <br /> courses. <br /> 3. The discharge shall not cause concentrations of any materials in the <br /> receiving waters which are deleterious to human, animal , aquatic, or <br /> plant life. <br /> 4. The discharge shall not cause esthetically undesirable discoloration <br /> of the receiving waters. <br /> 5. The discharge shall not cause fungus, slimes or other objectionable <br /> growths in the receiving waters. <br /> b. The discharge shall not cause bottom deposits in the receiving waters. <br /> 7. The discharge shall not increase the turbidity of the receiving waters <br /> more than 10% above background levels. <br /> 8. The discharge shall not alter the ambient pH of the receiving water <br /> more than 0.5 units. <br />
