(Continued) <br />- Two cardboard boxes of mixed household waste chemicals, one incorrectly labeled as "waste latex <br />paint" and one without a label <br />- A 55 gallon blue steel drum of brake fluid with no hazardous property or accumulation start date <br />- A 30 gallon white plastic drum of brake fluid with no accumulation start date <br />All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br />1. the words "Hazardous Waste" <br />2. name and address of generator <br />3. hazardous properties (flammable, corrosive, reactive, toxic) <br />4. physical state (liquid, solid) <br />5. composition (contents) <br />6. accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required <br />information. Since it cannot be determined how long the brake fluid and used oil have been on site, <br />immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and <br />submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD by October 26, 2012. <br />REPEAT VIOLATION <br />607. Lead acid batteries were observed in the totes full of battery storage with signs of acid leakage. A <br />damaged battery shall be managed so as to minimized the release of acid and lead and to protect the <br />handlers and the environment, including at a minimum: <br />(1) stored and transported in a nonreactive, structurally secure, closed container capable of <br />preventing the release of acid and lead. <br />(2) labeled with the initial date of accumulation, written in ink or other weather resistant material, so <br />that it is legible and conspicuous <br />(3) packed in a manner that prevents tipping, spilling, or breaking <br />Immediately manage and label the damaged lead acid battery in accordance with Title 22 regulations. <br />REPEAT VIOLATION <br />812. Copies of universal waste disposal records were not found on site. A generator of universal waste <br />(batteries, mercury containing equipment, lamps/bulbs, electronic devices, CRTs, CRT glass, aerosol <br />cans) shall keep a record of each shipment of universal waste on site for at least three years.
