(continued) <br /> absorbent materials which have been spent or are no longer in use, manage according to Title 22 <br /> hazardous waste regulations, and take all necessary steps to prevent further leakage and release in the <br /> future. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed by <br /> September 24, 2011. <br /> REPEAT VIOLATION <br /> 20. Two 55 gallon blue steel drums of brake fluid were observed with no hazardous properties listed. <br /> Two 55 gallon white poly drums of sodium silicate and used oil mix were observed with no hazardous <br /> properties. A 55 gallon drum labeled "bad gas" with a date of August 17, 2011 was observed without a <br /> label. A 50 gallon container of used oil was observed with no accumulation start date and a hazardous <br /> property of"other." All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> 1. the words "Hazardous Waste" <br /> 2. name and address of generator <br /> 3. hazardous properties(flammable, corrosive, reactive, toxic) <br /> 4. physical state(liquid, solid) <br /> 5. composition (contents) <br /> 6. accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all <br /> the required information. Since it cannot be determined how long the used oil has been on site, <br /> immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and <br /> submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD by September 24, 2011. <br /> REPEAT VIOLATION <br /> 22. Two spent lead acid batteries were observed with acid corrosion on the terminals, in an open <br /> container without a date on the west edge of the property. A damaged battery shall be managed so as <br /> to minimized the release of acid and lead and to protect the handlers and the environment, including at a <br /> minimum: <br /> (1)stored and transported in a nonreactive, structurally secure, closed container capable of preventing <br /> the release of acid and lead. <br /> (2) labeled with the initial date of accumulation, written in ink or other weather resistant material, so that <br /> it is legible and conspicuous <br /> (3) packed in a manner that prevents tipping, spilling, or breaking <br /> Immediately manage and label the damaged lead acid battery in accordance with Title 22 regulations. <br /> REPEAT VIOLATION <br /> ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> EHD Inspecto: Recei y: Title: <br /> EHD23-G2-001'k R 412111 CONTINUATION FORM <br />
