General Information <br /> In order to comply with federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) <br /> Hazard Communication requirements as specified in 29CFR1910.1200, the following <br /> written Hazard Communication Program has been established for: <br /> Store Name: Riv .y <br /> Store Number& Location: <br /> �2.-tom <br /> This Hazard Communication Program exists to ensure that Pape members and <br /> contractors are trained in the potential hazards of hazardous materials at this facility. <br /> The written Hazard Communication plan is at the following locations within the facility: <br /> HazCom Plan Located: <br /> A. Scope <br /> Members and contractors have the right to know about the hazardous materials <br /> used at Pape Facilities. This program is for all members, employee representatives <br /> or contractors and is intended to perform the following functions: <br /> • Explain labels and other forms of warning; <br /> • Explain Material Safety Data Sheets; <br /> • Explain employee information and training; <br /> • Provide a list of the hazardous chemicals known to be present using an identity <br /> that is referenced in the appropriate material safety data sheet; <br /> • Identify the methods the employer will use to inform members of all hazards <br /> • Identify the methods the employer will use to provide the information other <br /> employer(s) on-site: <br /> ■ access to material safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical the other <br /> employer(s) members may be exposed to while working; <br /> ■ precautionary measures that need to be taken to protect members during the <br /> workplace's normal operating conditions and foreseeable emergencies; and, <br /> ■ information on the labeling system used in the workplace. <br /> B. Applicability <br /> This written Hazard Communication Program is only applicable this location and should <br /> not be utilized at any other Pape location facility without making appropriate site specific <br /> modifications. All work-site areas are included within this program. <br /> II. Responsibilities <br /> All members, on-site contractors, and vendors are responsible for abiding by the <br /> requirements in this procedure. <br /> A. Product Support Manager <br /> 1. Ensure that the key elements of the Hazard Communication Program have <br /> been implemented, including: <br /> • Maintaining the written plan, iand a current list of hazardous chemicals; <br /> • Ensuring proper labeling of containers; <br /> • Maintaining a complete inventory and collection MSDS for all chemicals; <br /> HAMOM Plan.doc—SECT17C.pdf 10/26/04 Page 2 of 7 <br />
