Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Analyze and Diagnose(troubleshoot)equipment malfunctions or failures. • Pre-delivery setup and installation on all makes and models of John Deere equipment and allied products. • Repair, replace or rebuild engines,transmissions, carburetors, final drives, steering, clutches, cross shafts, hydraulic components including pump motors, valves and all related components, electrical systems and air systems. • Welding and fabrication may be required. • Perform assigned tasks in a timely, accurate and efficient manner. • Communicate in a courteous and effective manner with customers and/or co-workers. • Prepare required documentation accurately and timely, including work orders, parts lists and time cards. • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of equipment and product technology. • Maintain a tool inventory sufficient to perform assigned tasks. • Read and interpret instruction manual and pertinent literature. • Maintain a safe working environment and observe all safety laws, policies and rules. • Ensure chemical containers are properly labeled and any spills contained, cleaned up andl reported. • Have available all safety data sheets(SDS)for each chemical product used to perform service. • Other duties may be assigned by the Department Supervisor, Department Manager or the General Manager. • Overtime work may be required in this position.
