0 <br /> 11.0,SHUT DOWN/START-UP PROCEDURES <br /> The purpose of this section is to identify requirements for shutting down and starting up <br /> various utilities and equipment due to emergency procedures. <br /> 11.1 If required due to the nature of the emergency, process plants are to be shut <br /> down in accordance with standard operating procedures. <br /> 11.1.1 Emergency shutdown procedures are printed on the reverse side of the <br /> emergency procedures (red) card, located by every facility telephone. <br /> 11.1.2 For shutdowns not requiring immediate evacuation, refer to Standard <br /> Operating Procedures located in the Production office, the process <br /> control rooms, and in the computer network G:1 drive. <br /> 11.2 No piece of equipment or utility can be re-started unless it has been <br /> determined by the Scene Manager that it is safe to do so. Follow start up <br /> procedures as defined in plant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). <br /> 12.0 FIRE PROCEDURE <br /> This section describes the procedures for responding to an emergency involving a fire <br /> or explosion. A major fire is one that requires more than one fire extinguisher to put out <br /> or it takes more than one minute to extinguish. <br /> 12.1 In the event of a major fire: <br /> 12.1.1 The area supervisor and/or ERT member shall evacuate the immediate <br /> area of the fire by activating the continuous horn of the.plant emergency <br /> system. <br /> 12.1.2 Immediately report a fire as follows: Any employee may report a fire by <br /> calling ext. 6200 or by calling 9-911 or#12-11. Give all requested <br /> information. <br /> 12.1.3 If the fire endangers the administration or city building, immediately have <br /> the weighmaster activate the buildings emergency system. This will <br /> evacuate both buildings. <br /> 12.1.4 Inform the Scene Manager and the ERT. <br /> 12.2 The ERT shall erasure that the immediate area of the fire has been evacuated <br /> and maintain area security to prevent re-entry by unauthorized personnel. <br /> ERT Contingency Plan Page 12 06/23/99 <br />
