Place 1.5-inch Screen Point 15 Sampler in the soil boring so that it straddles the <br /> 1 water table. <br /> 6. Place extension rods down the center of the-drive rods to open the expandable <br /> point and hold the screen in position. <br /> 7. Lower a multiphase interface probe down the center of the rod into the stainless <br /> r steel screen sampler and collect water level in accordance with the Water Level <br /> Measurement SOP. . <br /> B. If the depth to water is less than 30 feet, lower the polyethylene the center of the <br /> rod into the stainless steel screen sampler. Connect the polyethylene tubing and <br /> silicon tubing securely with a hose clamp. Insert the silicon tubing in the pump <br /> head of the peristaltic pump. Start the pump and obtain the grab groundwater <br /> ' sample needed for analysis directly from the sampling device in the appropriate <br /> sample containers and tightly screw on the caps. <br /> r If the depth to water is greater than 30 feet, lower the sample tubing with the ball <br /> valve down the center of the rod into the stainless steel screen sampler. Lift the <br /> tubing out of the rod and obtain the grab groundwater sample in the appropriate <br /> r sample containers directly from the tubing by displacing the ball valve. Repeat the <br /> procedure until all sample containers are filled.Tightly screw on the caps of the <br /> containers. <br /> rField samples will be filtered in accordance with the Groundwater Sampling <br /> Procedures SOP. <br /> r9. Make sure that all samples are labeled, packaged, handled,and shipped in <br /> accordance with the Field Sample Packing, Handling, and Shipping SOP. <br /> 10. Repeat Steps 4 through 9 to collect additional grab groundwater samples from <br /> greater depth intervals. <br /> ' 11. Remove Screen Point 15 Sampler from the borehole. <br /> r 12. Decontaminate the Screen Point 15 Sampler in accordance with the Field <br /> Sampling Equipment Decontamination SOP. <br /> ' 13. Repeat Steps 4 through 11 to collect additional grab groundwater samples from <br /> greater depth intervals, if necessary.
