locations shall be approved by Regional Board staff prior to implementation of sampling activities.
All samples shall be representative of the volume and the nature of the discharge and matrix of the
sampled medium. The time, date, and location of each grab sample shall be recorded on the
sample chain of custody form.
Field testing instruments(such as those used to test pH and dissolved oxygen) may be used
provided that:
1. The operator is trained in proper use and maintenance of the instruments;
2. The instruments are calibrated prior to each monitoring event;
3. Instruments are serviced and/or calibrated by the manufacturer at the recommended
As shown on Attachment 1 and listed below,the Site has 12 shallow zone monitoring wells
(MWs), seven shallow zone piezometers, 17 intermediate zone MWs, two intermediate zone
piezometers, six deep zone MWs, and one production well which has been disconnected. Of these
45 wells, one deep well (INJ-1), three shallow piezometers (KPS-5,TP-lA and TP-3A), four
shallow MWS (SMW-1, SMW-2, SMW-4, and SMW-5), and/or two intermediate MWs (KEW-IU
and KEW-2U)may be used as injection wells. Five intermediate zone MWs (KEW-3U, KEW-4U,
KI-3, KI-5, and KI-12) are used as extraction wells. T
