MONITORING AND REPORTINCOOGRAM NO. 5-01-269 Revision 1 _
KEARNEY-NATIONAL,INC.AND UPRIGHT CONSTRUCTION • 2
FORMER KEARNEY-KPF FACILITY
GROUNDWATER TREATMENT AND DISPOSAL SYSTEM
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
SYSTEM START UP MONITORING
Once the new system is installed, the Discharger shall collect samples from the groundwater
influent, the treated water exiting the ultraviolet/oxidation unit (UV/OX), air stripper, and carbon
adsorption vessel. Sampling will occur at system startup, after one, four, 12, and 24 hours of
operation, weekly for the first month, and then monthly, thereafter. Samples will be analyzed by a
State certified laboratory for volatile organic compounds. The Discharger shall report these
results as outlined in the Provision E.l.b. of Waste Discharge Requirements Order No. 5-01-269.
EFFLUENT MONITORING R
The effluent samples shall be collected from the exiting sample port of the carbon adsorption
vessel for the following analyses prior to discharge:
Type of Sampling Reporting
Constituent Units Sample Frequency Frequency
Volatile Organic Compounds µg/1 Grab Monthly Quarterly
Electrical Conductivity(Field) µmhos/cm Grab Monthly Quarterly
Total Dissolved Solids mg/1 Grab Monthly Quarterly
pH (Field) pH units Grab Monthly Quarterly
Temperature (Field) 'Celsius Grab Monthly Quarterly
Total Volume of Water Treated Gallons Continuous Monthly Monthly
Flow Rate at Time of Sampling gpm Grab Monthly Monthly
Average Flow Rate (since last sampling) gpm Continuous Monthly Monthly
1 Required analytical method shall be either USEPA Method 8260B or 8021B.
