extent of the uppermost aquifer. The relationship between the
two water bearing zones and the uppermost aquifer shall be
established in text and depicted on hydrogeologic
cross-sections. Future hydrogeologic reports shall state that
the bottom of the uppermost aquifer is considered to be the base
of the lower water bearing zone if this is determined to be the
case. A rationale shall be provided for this conclusion.
Within 90 days of the effective date of this Order, Respondent
shall also prepare or augment hydrogeologic cross-sections.
Submitted hydrogelologic cross-sections shall depict screened
intervals and a representative groundwater level for each well .
3 . 1. 4 . Respondent shall perform aquifer and/or slug and
bail tests on wells installed in the future. Both drawdown and
recovery water levels shall be collected and analyzed to
determine hydraulic conductivity, transmissivity and velocity.
The method of analysis shall be appropriate to the conditions at
the site and the assumptions and conditions shall be explained
in text. Within 90 days of the effective date of this Order,
Respondent shall:
a) install an additional monitoring well in the upper
water-bearing zone in the Pond 1 area near the dry well. If
analytical results of groundwater samples from this well
indicate there is groundwater contamination, additional
monitoring wells shall be required to define the horizontal and
vertical extent of contamination.
5
