SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
GROUNDWATER MONITORING
As shown on Figure 1 and listed below, there are 45 wells.
Shallow Zone Monitor Wells: B-1,B-4, B-5, KPS-5, KS-1, KS-2, KS-4, KS-5, KS-6,KS-8,
SMW-1, SMW-2, SMW-3, SMW-4, SMW-5, SMW-6,
TP-lA, TP-2A, and TP-3A
Intermediate Zone Monitor Wells: KI-2, KI-3, KI4, KI-5,KI-6, KI-8, KI-11,KI-12, KI-13,
KI-14, KI-16, KI-17, KEW-lU, KEW-2U, KEW-3U,
KEW-41f,KPL-5, KPU-5, and PX-1
Deep Zone Monitor Wells: DMW-1, INJ-1, KD-1,KD-4, KD-5, and KD-6
Production Well: SPW
The groundwater monitoring program for the 45 wells and any wells installed subsequent to the
issuance of this MRP, shall follow the schedule in Table 1, unless the well is being used as an
extraction or injection well, in which case sampling shall be in accordance with the extraction or
injection well monitoring in MRP No. 5-01-269, Revision 2. The maximum detection limits for
the constituents of concern are listed in Table 2. Once a well has been approved for
abandonment, the monitoring requirements listed are no longer applicable. The volume of
extracted groundwater shall be provided in semi-annual monitoring reports. Sample collection
and analysis shall follow standard EPA protocol and the approved Water Quality Sampling and
Analysis Plan.
Prior to sampling, the groundwater elevations shall be measured in all wells. The Discharger
shall obtain quantitative, stabilized field parameter measurements and purge a minimum of three
casing volumes each time a well is sampled. Field parameters shall include pH, temperature,
electrical conductivity, and turbidity.
REPORTING
When reporting data, the Discharger shall arrange the information in tabular form so that the
date, the constituents, and the concentrations are readily discernible and in chronological order.
The data shall be summarized in such a manner as to illustrate clearly the compliance with this
MRP.
As required by the California Business and Professions Code Sections 6735, 7835, and 7835.1,
