explosion, identify the character, exact source, amount, <br /> and real extent of the emergency area, and notify <br /> Erickson Operations Management immediately. Erickson <br /> Management will determine if it is necessary to notify <br /> appropriate authorities. <br /> 6. Measures must be taken to prevent the spread of, or <br /> occurrence of a related incident during the emergency <br /> situation. (Measures to include: stopping process <br /> equipment and operations, collecting and containing <br /> released waste, and removing or isolating containers. ) <br /> 7 . If operations stop in response to an emergency condition, <br /> the site must be inspected, where appropriate, for any <br /> damages. <br /> 8 . The treatment, storage or disposal of recovered waste <br /> must be provided for immediately after the emergency. <br /> 9 . Under the direction of the Client, Erickson will initiate <br /> clean-up after the emergency. <br /> 10. Wastes that may be incompatible with the released <br /> material will not be treated, stored or disposed of until <br /> the clean-up operation is complete. <br /> 11. All emergency equipment used will be cleaned for re-use <br /> prior to resuming operations. <br /> C. Specific Emergency Conditions <br /> 1. FIRE <br /> a. Alert personnel in the immediate area, Client Emergency <br /> Coordinator, and Erickson's Emergency Coordinator. <br /> Client or Erickson personnel (see A. 1) will notify the <br /> fire department. <br /> b. For small fires (a fire that can be controlled with two <br /> 20 lb. fire extinguishers) which the nature of the <br /> product on fire is known, and determined not to generate <br /> additional health hazards, contain and extinguish the <br /> fire as quickly as possible. <br /> C. For large fires or if the product on fire is unknown, all <br /> personnel should immediately report to an upwind <br /> designated assembly point for a roll call and be on alert <br /> if requested to fight a fire.
