a. Fire extinguisher - Person first sighting the fire should <br /> secure the closest extinguisher. <br /> b. Traffic control - one person will be responsible for <br /> closing the work site to all incoming traffic, except <br /> vehicles from departments with designated response roles. <br /> This person will also be responsible for keeping the <br /> access road to the facility clear and unobstructed for <br /> emergency response teams. <br /> C. Waiting area - All personnel will report to this area, <br /> when possible, and await management instructions. <br /> 3 . EXPLOSIONS <br /> a. Alert site personnel as to the degree and location of the <br /> explosion. Instruct personnel to stay clear of the area <br /> involved. <br /> b. Notify Client Emergency Coordinator (see A. 1) . <br /> C. If a fire develops, follow emergency procedures for fire <br /> control or evacuation. <br /> d. If it is safe, isolate and secure operational units which <br /> may be affected by the explosion. <br /> e. Follow instructions as directed by the Client Emergency <br /> Coordinator on the scene. <br /> f. Once the emergency condition is no longer threatening, <br /> all Erickson employees will meet at the designated <br /> waiting area. <br /> 4. ACCIDENTS <br /> a. PERSONAL INJURY (Minor) . <br /> (1) Apply first aid, notify Client Emergency <br /> Coordinator and Erickson Emergency Coordinator. An <br /> accident report form must be filled out in detail <br /> and submitted to the Risk Management Department <br /> within 72 hours, and corrective measures taken if <br /> warranted, to curtail the occurrence of future <br /> related incidents. <br /> (2) Minor injury during day shift, Monday through <br /> Friday, transport employee to local medical <br /> facility. During non-routine hours transport <br /> employee to the nearest hospital. <br />
