The eyewash on the south side of <br />the shop was blocked by a bag of bottles, a bucket and some containers. Adequate aisle space shall be maintained <br />to allow the unobstructed movement of personnel, fire protection, spill control equipment, and decontamination <br />equipment to all areas of facility operation in an emergency. Immediately maintain aisle space to allow the <br />unobstructed movement of personnel, fire protection, spill control equipment, and decontamination equipment to <br />any area of facility operation in an emergency. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />403 <br />CCR 66265.173 Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br />waste. <br />-One blue metal 55 gallon drum of oily solids was observed open in the drum storage area. <br />-Three black metal 55 gallon drums of oily solids were observed open in the drum storage area. <br />All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately <br />close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br />507 <br />CCR 66265.195 Failed to conduct daily inspections of hazardous waste tank system and maintain records onsite. <br />Daily inspections of the discharge systems, monitoring equipment, and tank levels were not performed. <br />-The only daily tank logs available for the used antifreeze tank were from December 2017 and were incomplete. <br />-The tank logs available for the used oil tank consisted only of a signature sheet for 2017 and 2018 and did not <br />indicated what was inspected. <br />Immediately begin to conduct daily inspections of the discharge systems, monitoring equipment, and tank levels for <br />all tanks containing hazardous waste. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />512 <br />CCR 66265.192(h) Failure to obtain an assessment or reassessment of a hazardous waste tank system. <br />Facility does not have a current tank assessment for the used oil and used antifreeze tanks. The tank assessments <br />reviewed on site had dates of August 19, 2009. The owner or operator of a hazardous waste tank shall obtain a <br />written assessment reviewed and certified by an independent, qualified, professional engineer, registered in <br />California attesting that the system has sufficient structural integrity, is acceptable for the transferring, storing, and <br />treating of hazardous waste, and that the tanks and containment system are suitably designed. Immediately have <br />an assessment prepared for the used oil and used antifreeze tanks.
