PAGE: 5OF13 DOCUMENT NO.: 400-0006-000 TITLE: CONFIDENTIAL REVISION Training Plan I A - Draft APPENDIX 1 -JOB DESCRIPTIONS AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Manager Job Qualifications; The Environmental Manager must have a degree from an accredited college, including course work or other on-the-job training in environmental management and/or engineering courses, plus two or more years' experience at the management level in an environmental operation, preferably in a hazardous waste treatment setting. The Environmental Health and Safety Manager must be knowledgeable regarding applicable California Health and Safety Codes, CaIOSHA regulations, and regulations pertaining to the treatment, storage, and transport of hazardous waste materials. Duties Assigned: 1. General a. The Environmental Health and Safety Manager is responsible for the overall environmental and safety management of the corporation. b. The Environmental Health and Safety Manager is also in charge of permit applications and maintenance, environmental reporting, and for the contacts with regulatory agencies needed to develop or negotiate permits and/or agreements. 2. Hazardous waste operations a. The Environmental Health and Safety Manager is responsible for maintenance of waste permits and reporting. b. He or she takes responsibility for the submission of required reports to regulatory agencies. c. The Environmental Health and Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring documentation of training needs. d. The Environmental Health and Safety Manager must be familiar with the overall operation of the plant. He or she will have received the following training prior to assumption of the above duties, and will receive on-going training as required for performance of the job. Training requirements; The Environmental Manager will receive training in all sections of the training program.
