PAGE: <br />5OF13 <br />DOCUMENT NO.: <br />400-0006-000 <br />TITLE: CONFIDENTIAL REVISION <br />Training Plan I A - Draft <br />APPENDIX 1 -JOB DESCRIPTIONS AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS <br />Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Manager <br />Job Qualifications; The Environmental Manager must have a degree from an accredited <br />college, including course work or other on-the-job training in environmental management <br />and/or engineering courses, plus two or more years' experience at the management level in <br />an environmental operation, preferably in a hazardous waste treatment setting. <br />The Environmental Health and Safety Manager must be knowledgeable regarding applicable <br />California Health and Safety Codes, CaIOSHA regulations, and regulations pertaining to the <br />treatment, storage, and transport of hazardous waste materials. <br />Duties Assigned: <br />1. General <br />a. The Environmental Health and Safety Manager is responsible for the <br />overall environmental and safety management of the corporation. <br />b. The Environmental Health and Safety Manager is also in charge of permit <br />applications and maintenance, environmental reporting, and for the contacts with <br />regulatory agencies needed to develop or negotiate permits and/or agreements. <br />2. Hazardous waste operations <br />a. The Environmental Health and Safety Manager is responsible for maintenance of waste <br />permits and reporting. <br />b. He or she takes responsibility for the submission of required reports to <br />regulatory agencies. <br />c. The Environmental Health and Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring <br />documentation of training needs. <br />d. The Environmental Health and Safety Manager must be familiar with the overall <br />operation of the plant. He or she will have received the following training prior to <br />assumption of the above duties, and will receive on-going training as required for <br />performance of the job. <br />Training requirements; The Environmental Manager will receive training in all sections of <br />the training program. <br />
