Regeiies s
Glass Processing Closure Plan,Continued.
Incoming materials are usually processed within twenty-four hours. Outgoing materials are
accumulated into truckload quantities necessary to ship to downstream vendors and shipments
are scheduled to coincide with accumulation of this quantity. The listed "Additional Inventory'
at Time of Closure is based on less than a full truckload of typical post-processed materials
awaiting full truckload shipments.
6.0 Removal of Facility Equipment
This plan provides for removal of the equipment and disposal at a Class I hazardous waste
landfill. At the time of closure, the facility may choose to decontaminate and sample the
equipment. If the facility chooses to decontaminate, an amended closure plan will be
submitted.
If the equipment is shipped for land disposal, all processing equipment will be dismantled
and loaded onto flatbeds or loaded into roll-off bins, according to the landfill vendor's
specifications.
7.0 Cleaning Warehouse Floors
After all outgoing materials and processing equipment have been removed from the
facility;the warehouse will be thoroughly cleaned by vacuuming the surface with a HEPA
filter vacuum, followed by cleaning with a mop or scrubber using a detergent/water
solution. The water used to clean the floor will be removed from the floor using a
wet/dry vacuum and will be placed into drums to be transferred off-site as a hazardous
waste.
Facility personnel will perform the facility cleaning using all safety equipment normally
worn during operations in the presence of lead dust, including gloves, safety glasses, and
respirators.
8.0 Sampling Plan
8.1 Wipe Sampling Plan
To ensure that the cleaning of the concrete in the waste storage and processing
areas has been completed and that the concrete floor is not contaminated, wipe
samples will be taken of the concrete. The wipe samples will be taken at intervals
of one sample for every 5,000 square feet of concrete floor in the storage areas
and one sample for every 350 square feet in the processing areas RECEIVED
OCT 10 2014
ENVIRONMENTAL_ HEALTH
9/15/2014 5 DEPARTMENT
