Doc ID: S311WS020.002 <br /> FGL Environmental Page:3 of 12 <br /> Revision Date: 6/22/00 <br /> 5.0 SPECIFIC WASTE STREAMS AT FGL <br /> 5.1 Bulk Organic Solvents <br /> This waste stream consists of chloroform. <br /> 5.2 Analysis Waste- Aqueous <br /> This waste consists of color indicator reagents, dilute mineral acids and trace amounts of metals <br /> (Antimony, Molybdenum, Chromium). These wastes are accumulated in individual 5 gallon poly <br /> carboys. <br /> 5.3 Aqueous Waste with Trace Amounts of Chloroform <br /> This waste is from the MBAS analysis and also contains Methylene blue indicator. <br /> 5.4 Aqueous Waste-Acidic <br /> This waste is to be neutralized and discharged to the sewer. Records must be kept in the <br /> neutralization/discharge logbook including the date, sink location, volume discharged, and your <br /> initials. <br /> 6.0 INSPECTIONS AND RECORD KEEPING <br /> Weekly inspections of the satellite accumulation area are performed by the operator. During these <br /> inspections specific information is gathered about the area including the date,segregation,secondary <br /> containment, leaks, and the initials of the operator. When hazardous waste is taken offsite by our <br /> waste transport company one copy of each waste manifest is filed in the office in a file cabinet. Also, <br /> one copy of each waste manifest is sent to the Cal. EPA Dept. of Toxic Substances Control(DTSC) <br /> Office in Sacramento within 30 days. In addition, our waste transport company supplies us with <br /> specific lab-pack inventories to supplement the waste manifests, and these inventory sheets are filed <br /> along with our copies of the manifests. <br /> 7.0 EMERGENCY PROCEDURES <br /> In the event of an uncontrolled release of hazardous waste the procedures outlined in the FGL <br /> Hazardous Waste Management Emergency Response Procedures and Contingency Plan. <br /> 8.0 WASTE TRANSPORT AND DISPOSAL COMPANY <br /> Our waste transport and disposal company is Ensco,Inc. Thirty working days prior to the end of the <br /> current one year accumulation period, Ensco must be notified that FGL needs a hazardous waste <br /> pickup. FGL's well-defined waste streams have already been profiled by Ensco and they will fill out <br /> the manifests on the day of the actual pick-up. The manifests must be checked carefully for accuracy <br /> before signing.
