EMPLOYEE TRAINING <br /> The employee training program informs personnel at all. levels of responsibility of the <br /> component and goals of the PPERM, including the how and why tasks are:to be implemented. <br /> Appropriate plant personnel shall receive on-going training in the safe and proper procedures for <br /> managing chemicals used in the process and maintenance support functions of manufacturing. <br /> Training includes, at a minimum, the following three topics. <br /> 1. Spill prevention and response. <br /> 2. Good housekeeping procedures: <br /> 3. Material management practices. <br /> ?, Personnel will attend training on the PPERM at least once per year. A log form will be <br /> used to record the training topics, date of training, name of the trainer, arid-the name of attendees. <br /> An example log form is provided in Appendix K,.as well as information for conducting training <br /> programs. <br /> { 9. ANNUAL SITE COMPLIANCE EVALUATION <br /> The specific requirements for an annual site compliance evaluation vary from state to <br /> state. The federal general permit requires that a qualified person conduct an evaluation at least <br /> annually that includes nine items listed in Appendix L.
