All facility communications or alarm <br />systems, fire protection equipment, spill control equipment, and decontamination equipment, where required, shall be <br />tested and maintained as necessary to assure its proper operation in time of emergency. Immediately begin this <br />practice. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />403 <br />CCR 66265.173 Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous waste. <br />-Oily liquid was observed in the spill pallets under the product oil tanks and in the containment around the product oil <br />tanks in the shop. <br />All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately <br />close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />407 <br />CCR 66261.7(f) Contaminated container not marked with date emptied or managed within one year of being emptied. <br />Thirteen 55 gallon drums, a 30 gallon drum, and a 50 gallon fuel tank were observed empty in the shop area without <br />being marked with the date emptied. Containers larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous material <br />shall be marked with the date they were emptied and managed within one year of being emptied. Immediately mark <br />and manage all empty containers per this section. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />501 <br />CCR 66265.192(a) Failed to comply with new hazardous waste tank system assessment requirements. <br />Facility does not have a tank assessment for the 1,000 gallon used oil tank. The owner or operator of a hazardous <br />waste tank shall obtain a written assessment reviewed and certified by an independent, qualified, professional <br />engineer, registered in California attesting that the system has sufficient structural integrity, is acceptable for the <br />transferring, storing, and treating of hazardous waste, and that the tanks and containment system are suitably <br />designed. Immediately have an assessment prepared for the 1,000 gallon used oil tank. Submit a schedule showing <br />when this will be accomplished to the EHD. <br />This is a Class I violation. <br />Page 8 of 11 <br />
