ALARM and CONTROL POINT <br /> REVALIDATION PROCEDURE <br /> Purpose for Revalidation <br /> It is Sprint's policy and the BMC's commitment to assure the highest quality and most <br /> dependable service to our customers. <br /> We therefore believe it necessary to routinely inspect and test the alarming system that <br /> keeps our facilities in operation. <br /> At the same time we will take the additional step to test and calibrate all control <br /> components that are so instrumental in the dependable and efficient operation of our <br /> facilities. <br /> The purpose of this document is to establish a method of procedure and a set of standards <br /> to perform the revalidation of control points and alarms in the BAS system. <br /> This document is not intended to be an absolute method of procedure, recognizing that <br /> individual differences from site to site may vary, but should be used as a general guide <br /> and followed as closely as possible wherever possible. <br /> Definitions <br /> BMC Building Management Center <br /> SAS Building Automation System manufactured by Andover controls Co. and <br /> utilized by Sprint in Sprint facilities for control and alarm monitoring of <br /> HVAC & environmental systems. <br /> FAS Facilities Automation Specialist . This is the Andover representative <br /> trained in installing, troubleshooting, servicing and testing the BAS <br /> UPS Uninterruptable Power Supply <br /> Halon Fire suppression agent and system. <br /> Vesda Early warning air sampling system. <br /> CRU Computer Room Unit, a cooling system used primarily for raised floor, <br /> computer room and switch environments. <br /> UST Underground Storage Tank for diesel generator fuel.
