<br />INSTALLED AT ALL UNUSED OPENINGS.
<br />3.6 BUSHING: THE DI --ELECTRIC BUSHINGS IN STI -P3 TANKS SHALL NOT BE REMOVED
<br />FROM THE UNUSED OPENINGS. THE PLUGS IN TANK OPENINGS WHICH ARE TO BE USED
<br />SHALL NOT BE OVERTIGHTENED AS THIS MAY CAUSE THE BUSHING TO UNSCREW WITH
<br />THE PLUG. CARE SHALL BE TAKEN NOT TO CROSSTHREAD OR DAMAGE THE NON-
<br />METALLIC BUSHINGS WHEN REPLACING PLUGS OR INSTALLING REQUIRED TANK PIPING.
<br />3.7 WET HOLE INSTALLATION: SHOULD GROUND WATER BE PRESENT IN TANK EXCAVATIONS.
<br />ANCHORING SHALL BE REQUIRED.
<br />3.7.1 WELL POINT: WATER SHALL BE KEPT AT LOWEST POSSIBLE POINT BY WELL POINT
<br />SYSTEM(S) AND PROPERLY SIZED PUMP(S).
<br />3.7.2ANCHORS: DEADMAN SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED OF CONCRETE AS DETAILED IN
<br />DRAWINGS AND AS PER TANK MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATIONS. PLACE 12" FROM
<br />OUTSIDE VERTICAL LINE OF TANK(S) AS SHOWN ON DRAWINGS.
<br />3.7.3TIE DOWNS: STRAPPING MATERIAL SHALL BE AS PER TANK MANUFACTURER'S
<br />REQUIREMENTS.
<br />3.7.4TURNBUCKLES: TO REMOVE CABLE SLACK, UTILIZE 5/8 " JAW TYPE TURNBUCKLES,
<br />ONE EACH SIDE OF TANK (2 PER STRAP).
<br />3.7.5STRAP PLACEMENT: AS PER TANK MANUFACTURER'S SPECIFICATIONS.
<br />3.7.61NSULATION: TANKS SHALL BE INSULATED FROM TIEDOWNS BY PLACEMENT OF
<br />APPROVED DI --ELECTRIC MATERIAL BETWEEN STRAP AND TANK. MATERIAL SHALL BE
<br />PETROLEUM RESISTANT MATERIAL AS APPROVED BY TANK MANUFACTURER.
<br />3.7.7 COATING:' COVER ALL NON -GALVANIZED HARDWARE WITH TWO (2) COATS OF
<br />ASPHALT IMPREGNATED WITH WATERPROOFING PRIOR TO PLACEMENT.OF BACKFILL
<br />3.8 LIFTING: TANKS SHALL BE LIFTED ONLY AS PER MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATIONS,
<br />UTILIZING LIFTING LUGS PROVIDED ON TANKS. TANKS SHALL NOT BE ROLLED, DROPPED
<br />OR WRAPPED WITH CHAINS, EQUIPMENT OF SUFFICIENT SIZE, DESIGN AND LIFT CAPACITY
<br />SHALL BE UTILIZED FOR SETTING OF TANKS. SHOULD TANKS BE BUMPED, DENTED, DROPPED
<br />OR MISHANDLED IN ANY WAY, INSTALLATION SHALL BE HALTED AND TANK MANUFACTURER'S
<br />REPRESENTATIVE IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED FOR RECERTIFICATION OF TANKS. CONTACT LOCAL
<br />CONSTRUCTION OFFICE OR SITE MANAGER IMMEDIATELY UPON NOTICE OF QUESTIONABLE
<br />-
<br />HANDLING OF TANKS OR NOTABLE DAMAGE THERETO.
