If OVM readings are 0 to X25 ppm above background in the <br />breathing zone, continue to level D. <br />Readings from >25 to 100 ppm above background, in the <br />breathing zone, require Level C (or leaving the site). Readings <br />over 100 ppm in the breathing zone require up -grade to Level B. <br />Additional Hazard prevention Measures: <br />No eating, drinking, or smoking within 25 feet of the work area <br />No facial hair that would interfere with respirator fit <br />Level C is not to be used without two fully trained staff on-site. <br />If monitoring results indicate than an up -grade is required, you <br />must leave the site until conditions change or request an <br />additional person, and not initiate work until that person arrives. <br />Stress breaks are to be taken at regular intervals of 2 hours, <br />or more frequently, if necessary (i.e. climate conditions). <br />No sparks sources within 25 feet of the work area. <br />All open excavations shall be adequately fenced and shored or <br />sloped where applicable to prevent accidental collapse. <br />All employees involved with hazardous waste activity shall meet <br />health and safety training requirements. <br />Grounded plugs should be used when a power source is needed <br />to reduce the hazard of electric shock. <br />Generators or air pumps should be used in dry areas, away from <br />possible ignition sources. Do not stand in water or other liquids <br />when handling equipment. Electrical equipment shall conform <br />with OSHA 1910.303(a), 1910.305(s),(f)#)(3). <br />Ground fault interrupters are used in the absence of properly <br />grounded circuitry or when portable tools must be used in wet <br />areas. <br />Extension cords should be protected from damage and <br />maintained in good condition. <br />C:WNOJE=\BAMAMi SP.Oor g_ <br />
