0
System components
Fig. 1. Dualoy 30001FLX it end connectors
make up to standard NPT threaded fittings.
Connectors have been designed to provide
approximately 1 inch of axial travel to
facilitate thread make-up.
Fig. 2. A Dualoy 30001FLX It 90° sweep
elbow joined to two lengths of Dualoy 30001L
rigid -wall containment pipe with push -on
containment couplings. Ninety degree and
45° sweep elbows are available with
36 -inch bending radius.
Fig. 3, Duafoy 30001FLX 11 couplings are
used to join 3 -inch rigid -wail pipe to
construct the outer containment piping. No
adhesive is required for assembly: pipe and
couplings effect a fluid -tight seat by means
of 0 -rings (1). The left side of the illustration
shows a length of pipe (2) already inserted
into the coupling (3); the right side shows
pipe (4) and coupling prior to assembly. The
coupling features a pipe stop (5) in the
middle to prevent overinsertion of the
containment pipe. in actuality, the entire
containment system would be assembled
before the primary line (6) is introduced.
Fig. 4. Dispenserpans should beat
least 24 inches wide to Permit easy
access while installing the piping
components. Wall penetrations are
made using flexible penetration seals or
Ameron penetration fittings.
FLEXIBLE PIPING
Dualoy 3000/FLX ll 11/2 -inch (I D) primary piping is delivered to the job site in coils of
500 feet. End connectors are swaged onto the primary piping at the job site. Once in
piace, the end connectors are capable of both circumferential and axial movement for
easier installation and make-up. The length of the end connectors figures into the
calculation of the overall length forany given run of pipe.
RIGID -WALL PIPE AND
FITTINGS
Dualoy 3000/1 - rigid -wall
pipe and fittings are used
to contain
Dualoy 30{)0/FLX II flexible,
primary piping and in single-wall vent and vapor recovery lines.';
Rigid -wall piping materials include the foliowing:
• Three-inch Dualoy 3000/1- rigid -wall fiberglass pipe for
containment piping.
• Three-inch 90° or 450 sweep containment elbows,
• Three-inch containment couplings with O-ring seal.
• Two-inch Dualoy 3000/1- rigid -wall fiberglass pipe, tees,
elbows and threaded adapters for vent and vapor recovery
lines.
DISPENSER PANS
Ameron recommends that
fiberglass dispenser pans
be used. if the dispenser
pan is fabricated of a non -
fiberglass material such as
steel or high-density
polyethylene, contact
Ameron regarding
appropriate methods for
making and sealing
penetrations.
The make and model
number of the dispenser
crust be known before
ordering the dispenser pan.
The critical dimension for
the dispenser pan is the
width, which should
amount to at least 24 inches
24
to provide easy access
during installation (Fig. 4). The depth of the dispenser pan may vary depending on the
