BANKS&CO.
We are contracting with Hawkeye Enterprises out of Bishop, CA,
(760) 872-4512 . They will be removing of the concrete and
overhead canopy. The dispensers will be removed and the
product piping and conduits capped off before the concrete
removal starts . Hawkeye Enterprises will be required to wear
the appropriate PPE. The debris will be hauled off the
disposed of at the local dump. The existing footings will be
removed and disposed of to make room for the proposed overhead
canopy.
EXCAVATION
The underground product piping and electrical conduits will
need to be exposed for relocation to the new dispensers .
Banks & Co. will use shovels and hand tools to uncover the
piping. Employees will be required to use the appropriate PPE
equipment . It is assumed that Level D PPE will be required.
CUTTING OF THE PRODUCT PIPING
Banks & Co. will use a hack saw and in-trench pipe reamer to
cut the piping and prepare it for the modifications that will
be required to accommodate the new dispensers .
INSTALLATION OF THE BRAVO PANS
The proposed Bravo under-dispenser containment pans will be
installed and set to the proper elevation. The pans will be
held in place with lumber until the has been piping has been
installed and tested and the backfill material has been
placed. The Bravo pans will be set approximately M" higher
then the island forms to allow for drainage .
MODIFICATION OF THE PIPING
The existing double walled underground piping will be cut and
tapered to allow for the addition of new piping to accommodate
the new dispensers . The piping will be cut with a hack saw
and tapered with a tapering tool . The appropriate PPE will be
used. After the piping has been cut, tapered and dry fitted
it will be "glued" together with the correct epoxy. After the
epoxy has been applied and the piping "glued" as directed by
the manufacturer' s instructions it will be allowed to dry
until the epoxy has cured.
After the primary piping has been installed and tested, the
secondary piping will be glued into place .
10 SITE SAFETY PLAN
