Clean sludge from containment system. The sludge in the secondary containment has <br /> caused severe etching of the containment system. CFC, 8003.3 <br /> 3. Provide secondary containment for the waste sludge tank and connect to the waste <br /> process system. CFC, 8003.1.3 <br /> 4. Repair the spill control system in the transloading area. The collection sump pump is not <br /> moving hazardous material spillage to the collection tanks in the secondary containment <br /> unit. CFC, 8003.1.3.1 and 8003.1.3.3 <br /> Hydrochloric Acid Package Area <br /> 1. Repair the secondary containment area that has severe etching and break through. <br /> CFC, 8003.1.3.2 and 8003.1.3.3 <br /> 2. Provide a 30-foot clearance around outdoor storage or tanks. This area shall be kept <br /> clear of combustible materials and vegetation. CFC, 8003.1.12 <br /> 3. Post NFPA 704 signage in the processing area and the stationary tanks. CFC, 8001.8 <br /> 4. Provisions shall be made for controlling and mitigating unauthorized discharge of acid <br /> onto the ground penetrating the secondary containment. Accurate records shall be kept <br /> of the unauthorized discharge onto the ground. CFC, 8001.5.1 <br /> 5. Pump tanks and equipment handling hazardous materials shall be maintained. CFC, <br /> 8001.4.7.1 <br /> 6. Post no smoking signs. Smoking is not permitted within 25 feet of outdoor storage or <br /> dispensing areas. CFC, 8001.9 <br /> Rear Yard Storage <br /> 1. Provide secondary containment for several containers stored in the back yard area. <br /> CFC, 8003.1.3.3 <br /> 2. Remove defective containers from service; repair or dispose in an approved manner. <br /> CFC, 8001.4.7.3 <br /> 3. Post no smoking signs. Smoking is not permitted within 25 feet of outdoor storage or <br /> dispensing areas. CFC, 8001.9 <br /> 4. Provide separation of incompatible materials in the storage areas. The materials include <br /> hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, aluminum sulfate and sodium bisulfate and <br /> unknowns. Separation shall be 20 feet between incompatible materials. CFC, 8001.11.8 <br /> 5. Label all unmarked containers with their contents. CFC, 8001.7 <br /> 6. Provisions shall be made for controlling and mitigating unauthorized discharge of <br /> possible contamination on ground due to lack of secondary containment of containers. <br /> Accurate records shall be kept of the unauthorized discharge onto the ground. CFC, <br /> 8001.5.1 <br /> 7. Hazardous materials shall not be released into storm drain, ditch, drainage canal, or on <br /> to the ground or into the atmosphere. CFC, 8001.5.1 <br /> 8. Remove empty containers with residual material in the containers. Empty containers and <br /> tanks previously used for the storage of hazardous materials shall be free from residual <br /> material and vapor. CFC, 8001.4.6 <br />
