safety of a jobsite to be responded to in a positive manner. <br /> Should the General not be willing to make the necessary <br /> corrections the Foreman is to notify the Construction Super- <br /> intendant who will assess the situation and take the <br /> necessary action to either provide a safe environment for <br /> FHEMCO employees or to pull off of the job. <br /> * The Construction Superintendant is to conduct at least two <br /> inspections on jobs more than three weeks and at least one <br /> inspection on jobs that are two weeks or less. These in- <br /> spections will be kept in the Foremans job binder for in- <br /> spection by Cal/Osha representatives. <br /> * For the Service Department a Technician will be spot checked <br /> for Safety Compliance periodically but no less than every <br /> six months. This will be conducted by a member of the <br /> Safety Committee or designee. <br /> Inspections will be conducted at the following intervals, in <br /> addition to those times <br /> mentioned above: <br /> * At the effective date of this program. <br /> * Whenever new substances, processes, procedures, or equipment <br /> are introduced to the workplace that represent a new <br /> occupational safety and health hazard. <br /> * Whenever FHEMCO is made aware of a new or previously <br /> unrecognized hazard. <br /> The following approaches will be used periodically to further <br /> evaluate the workplace. <br /> * Checklists - See Appendix A for a copy. <br /> * Periodic unannounced inspections by a Safety Committee <br /> member. <br /> * Records Review (including workers' compensation summaries, <br /> accident/injury reports, new Material Safety Data Sheets, <br /> and air contaminant/noise monitoring data. <br /> * Other means of evaluating <br /> - employee suggestion box <br /> - input from safety meetings or supervisors <br /> - Inspections of the jobsite by the Safety Committee <br />
