Specification No . : RGS0024-87 <br /> PART II - SPECIFIC CONDITIONS <br /> Section 5 - Submittals <br /> 5 . 4. 4 Final Submittal : Five prints ; two will be retained , and <br /> the remainder will be returned , one of which is to be <br /> marked up and maintained by Contractor as "Record <br /> Document" . <br /> 5 . 4 . 5 Product Data : Collect required data into one submittal <br /> for each unit of work or system and mark each copy to show <br /> which choices and options are applicable to project . <br /> Includes manufacturer ' s standard printed recommendations <br /> for application and use , compliance with standards , <br /> application of labels and seals , notation of field <br /> measurements which have been checked , and special <br /> coordination requirements . <br /> Maintain one set of product data ( for each submittal ) at <br /> project site available for reference by Engineer and <br /> others . <br /> 5 .4. 5 . 1 Submittals : Do not submit product data or allow its use <br /> on the project until compliance with requirements of <br /> contract documents has been confirmed by Contractor . <br /> Submittal is for information and record unless otherwise <br /> indicated . Initial submittal is final submittal unless <br /> returned promptly by Engineer , marked with an "Action" <br /> which indicated an observed noncompliance . Submit five <br /> copies ; two will be retained , and the remainder will be <br /> returned . <br /> Provide a preliminary single -copy submittal where <br /> required ( or desired by Contractor ) for selection of <br /> options by Engineer . <br /> 5 . 4 . 5 . 2 Installer ' s Copy : Do not proceed with installation of <br /> materials , products , or systems until final copy of <br /> applicable product data is in possession of Installer . <br /> 5 . 4. 6 Samples : If contractor is proposing a change in material , <br /> provide units identical with final condition of proposed <br /> materials or products for the work . Include " range " <br /> samples ( not less than three units ) where unavoidable <br /> variations must be expected and describe or identify <br /> variations between units of each set . Provide full set of <br /> optional samples where Engineer ' s selection is required . <br /> Prepare samples to match Architect ' s /Engineer ' s sample <br /> where so indicated . Include information with each sample <br /> v-3 <br />
