General Requirements <br /> 2 of a <br /> 1.02 CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS AND CONDUCT OF WORK <br /> A. General Contractor's performance of Work hereunder shall be to the satisfaction of <br /> PG&E. Responsibility to complete and guarantee the Work as specified shall remain with <br /> Contractor. Contractor's Work shall be carried out according to sound professional <br /> procedures and practice generally accepted within construction industry and jointly with <br /> other operations at the site. <br /> D. Contractor shall fully inform themselves of and shall comply with all laws, regulations, and <br /> orders of governmental authorities which may affect the conduct of the Work hereunder, <br /> particularly in regard to disposal of waste material and clearing or burning of combustible <br /> material. Contractor shall be responsible for and shall remove all non-hazardous wastes <br /> from the work site. Any hazardous wastes resulting from the work shall be formally <br /> turned-over to PG&E for proper disposal. All non-hazardous waste material and debris <br /> shall become the property of Contractor, transportation and disposal thereof shall be at <br /> Contractor's sole risk and expense. <br /> C. Work Assignments: The use of subcontractors does not relieve Contractor of the <br /> responsibility to perform all Work under this Contract. <br /> D. Inspection: Field inspection and tests performed by PG&E does not relieve Contractor of <br /> their responsibility to notify and coordinate with City, State, Federal, and all other agencies <br /> having jurisdiction. <br /> E. Defective Work: Any Work, material, or equipment which does not comply with the <br /> requirements of the Contract documents shall be repaired or replaced immediately by and <br /> at the expense of the Contractor. <br /> F. Delivery and Care of Material: The receiving, storage, quality, and inventory control of <br /> materials required for the Work hereunder shall be the sole responsibility of Contractor. <br /> All Work performed hereunder shall be done to the satisfaction of PG&E, but shall not be <br /> construed as to relieve Contractor of the responsibility to complete and guarantee the <br /> Work as specified_ <br /> G. Obstructions: Contractor shall remove existing obstructions as necessary to perform the <br /> Work subject to obtaining PG&E's permission. Removed obstructions shall be repaired or <br /> replaced at Contractor's sole expense as directed by PG&E. <br /> H. Patching: Contractor shall patch or repair pavement. Material used in patching and repair <br /> work shall match the existing finish as closely as possible and shall be approved by <br /> PG&E. Joints between old and new work shall be made as inconspicuous as possible. <br /> 1. Openings: Openings occurring for removal of obstructions or from relocated work shall be <br /> patched and made to appear as inconspicuous as possible. Care shall be taken in cutting <br /> existing concrete, or other material to avoid damage to a larger area than necessary. <br /> Cuts shall be made with an abrasive saw. The surface shall be scored to obtain a straight <br /> cut. Unnecessary cutting or damage shall not be tolerated. <br />
