General Requirements <br /> 5 of 8 <br /> adjacent persons and property, and an adequate number and type of fire <br /> extinguishers placed in the immediate area and accessible for use. <br /> 3. Contractor shall confine the placement and number of apparatus, the storage of <br /> materials, and workmen's operations to limits established by law, ordinances, <br /> permits, or directions of PG&E, and shall not unreasonably encumber PG&E's <br /> premises with materials. <br /> 4. Contractor shall be responsible for the protection and preservation of all materials <br /> and equipment supplied of every description (including property which may be <br /> furnished or owned by PG&E or by others) while such property is located on the <br /> work site. <br /> 5. Contractor shall promptly comply with all reasonable requests of PG&E to enclose <br /> or specially protect such property. If, as determined by PG&E, such property and <br /> Work are not adequately protected by Contractor, such property and work may be <br /> protected by PG&E, and the cost thereof may be charged to Contractor or <br /> deducted from payments then due or later becoming due. <br /> 6. Contractor agrees to repair or replace to the satisfaction of PG&E, without cost to <br /> PG&E, all work performed or lost due to any cause. <br /> 7. Hazardous of Flammable Chemicals: Hazardous, flammable chemical liquids or <br /> gases brought into the work site shalt be used and stored in acceptable containers <br /> conforming to all applicable laws and regulations, including local fire codes. Such <br /> materials shall be used in a manner that shall prevent their accidental release. <br /> Such materials shall not be discarded on the work site. All empty containers shall <br /> be removed from premises immediately or disposed of in the proper lawful <br /> manner. <br /> 8. Tools, Cords, Electrical Equipment: All tools, cords, and electrical equipment used <br /> or supplied by Contractor shall conform with Underwriter's Laboratory Standards <br /> and ©SHA and be in proper working order to preclude hazard to person and <br /> premises. <br /> 9. Interruption of Utillily Service: Contractor shall give ade uate advance <br /> notice, not less than 72 hours minimum, to PG&E when interruptions of <br /> utility services to any existing facilities are anticipated. No interruption of <br /> utility services by Contractor is permitted, unless approved by PG&E. <br /> 10. Dust Palliation: Contractor shall take appropriate steps throughout the term of the <br /> project to prevent air-borne dust due to work under this Contract. Contractor shall <br /> erect visquin barriers to prevent dust from getting into areas of the buildings that <br /> are not part of the Work. <br /> C. Site Utilization: <br /> 1, Contractor shall store construction materials and equipment within boundaries of <br /> work areas to be designated by PG&E. <br />
