Your concern was related to which portions of piping is require to be monitored by the line leak
detector. Pursuant to Health and Safety Code 25290.1 (h) and California Code of Regulations 2636 (f)(2), underground
pressurized piping shall be equipped with an automatic line leak detector. As long as all underground pressurized piping
is monitored by the line leak detector the system is in compliance with UST statute and regulation relating to line leak
detection.
Cory Hootman,Water Resource Control Engineer .
State Water Resources Control Board, Division of Water.Quality
Underground Storage Tank Program, Leak Prevention Technical Unit
10011 Street, 15Th Floor
Sacramento,CA 95814
Ph: (916) 341-5668
Fax: (916)341-5808
i
i
i
