Anchor the dispenser to the Bravo box. Anchoring nuts are j
installed per dispenser manufacturer's specifications.(See 6-A) i ANCHOR DISPENSER
ADJUSTING THE PRODUCT SHEAR VALVE
A.When the B-200 box is in position on the island and the dis-
penser is in place, the dispenser or pump inlet should be y
plumb with the impact valve. Determine dimension X(see 6
B) the measurement needed to adjust the valve and connect
the shear valve and union with a nipple.
B. The shear valve must be adjusted vertically by loosening the
nuts on the support bracket holding the impact valve to theaI _..►
dispenser pan bottom. Loosen both sets of nuts on the sup-
port bracket,Then loosen the upper compression nut using a
chain wrench or other applicable tool. Now the entire impact
valve assembly is free to move up and down approximately S. Water-leak test ONLY FIELD-INSTALLED penetration fittings,
1"(see 6-B). To leak-test penetrations made in the field, fill the base of the
box with one inch of water above the penetrations. After a few
C.Connect the product shear valve to the dispenser inlet pip• minutes make a visual inspection for leaks underneath the box.
in then proceed in the following order: If there are no leaks, remove the water with a Bravo siphon
1.Tightly secure the upper compression nut(see 6-B,Na.3).Do pump.
not over-tighten! 6. Reset the shear valve trip mechanism to the open position.
2.Tighten the two U-bolt nuts(see 6-B,No. I).
3.Tighten the two nuts securing the pan to the support bracket IMPORTANT.
(see 6-B,No.2). If you have inadvertently touched the bottom nut (see 6-8) or
applied torque to the bulkhead product fitting, call the Bravo
2. Connect electrical and vapor lines to the dispenser according to factory at(800)282-7286.Outside U.S.A.,call(714)739-9686.
local code regulations.
3. Seal all electrical penetrations. The factory-installed conduit
penetrations should be sealed in between the annular space of
the conduit and the metal tube or half nipple. Use Bravo elec. 1
trical seal-off, ES-1, Chico V or any other equivalent UL- J(
approved sealing compound (see 6-A). Method used should x
comply with local code requirements.
4. IMPORTANT:Clear away all debris(pea gravel,dirt,etc.)from the PEN VALVE
dispenser pan and float box. Assure the float chain tension is
properly adjusted and connected m the shear valve and Boat arm. o CLOSED VALVE
PLEASE NOTE U•BOLT NUT
The amount of fluid needed to activate the shear valve trigger is SUPPORT BRACKET
dependent upon the chain tension. iD"iU°" UPPER
COMPRESSION NUT
Test the Boat system with the valve in the open position (see 6-8)
by gently raising the float tubing up approximately 114" to 112". PAN NUTS
This action should close the shear valve.
Continue to page 7,Adjusting the Float Mechanism. •
BOTTOM NUT
bB
JUN-17-1998 1608 12066229629 96% P.09
