WORKMANSHIP AND CONSTRUCTION: <br /> 1. DESIGN MIX: For slabs below or on grade, concrete shall <br /> attain 28 day compressive strength of 2 , 500 PSI minimum, <br /> using not less than five (5) sacks of cement per cu.yd. <br /> of wet concrete. <br /> 2 . MIXING: Use batch machine mixer of approved type. After <br /> ingredients are in mixer, mix for at least 1 1/2 minutes <br /> or use transit mix with rate of delivery, haul time, <br /> mixing time, and hopper capacity such that concrete <br /> delivered will be placed in forms within 90 minutes from <br /> time of introduction of cement and water to mixer. <br /> 3 . FORMS: Construct forms to exact shapes, sizes, lines, <br /> and dimensions required to obtain accurate alignment, <br /> location, grades, and level and plumb work. <br /> 4 . COMPACTING: Thoroughly compact concrete within 15 <br /> minutes after placing. <br /> 5. CURING: <br /> a. WET CURING: Cure concrete by uniform water fog spray <br /> for at least 48 hours. <br />
