On June 26, 1991,water samples were collected from the five on site rrmcnitoring <br /> wells, placed under a chain-of-custody, secured in a sealed ice chest using <br /> appropriate preservation methods and submitted to a state-certified laboratory <br /> for analysis of BTEX, EDB, ECD, and TPH. In addition, four point samples were <br /> obtained from the soil stockpile generated from the drill cuttings. The soil <br /> samples were submitted to a state-certified laboratory under chain of-custody <br /> to be composited and analyzed for BTEX, EDB, EDC, and TPH. <br /> On June 26, 1991, water levels in the five on site wells were moasured and <br /> lrecorded. <br /> is <br /> � i <br /> On June 27, 1991, wellhead and casing elevations were surveyed and <br /> referenced to a City of Manteca bench mark by a California registered land <br /> } i j surveyor. <br /> On June 28, 1991, the second quarterly groundwater monitoring repo t was <br /> - t <br /> submitted. <br /> ' - Due to a laboratory error by the laboratory, it became necessary to resampEe <br /> 3 the wells and the soil stockpile for chemical analysis. Groundwater rrom the <br /> wills was resarnpled on July 22,1991,and samples were obtained from the soil <br /> stockpile on July 25, 1991. The groundwater and soil samples were submitted <br /> r <br /> to the laboratory for analysis of BTEX, EDB, ECD, and TPH. <br /> f' On July 22, 1991, water levels in the five on site wells were measured and <br /> i <br /> recorded. <br /> Data from the investigation was evaluated and the problem assessment report <br /> prepared. <br /> 2.0 BACKGROUND <br /> F <br /> 2.1 Site Locatlon and 1]escrlption <br /> The subject site is located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Northwoods Drive <br /> and East Yosemite Avenue in the City of Manteca, California (Figure 2). <br /> t The property was purchased from Exxon approximately 13 years ago by Moore <br /> E� Petroleum, Inc. The site is currently leased from Moore Petroleum, Inc., by Mr. Frank <br /> Guinta, Jr., who has operated a mini-mart/retail gasoline station at the site for the past <br /> 12 years. The underground storage tanks (USTs) were removed in September 1989. The <br /> > replacement of the USTs in another location on the site was finalized in November 1989.
