Section Number: 2-1 <br />Issue Date: 05/06/2010 <br />Revision Date: <br />Page 14 of 16 <br />2-8 TIER TWO ANNUAL CHEMICAL INVENTORY <br />Overview <br />Market Centers that store hazardous materials in excess of reportable quantities must <br />submit annual reports to State and local emergency planning agencies.. <br />Key Points <br />----------- - The reportable quantity of hazardous material is 10,000 pounds. This is approximately <br />1,200 gallons of liquid chemicals. Reportable chemicals include heating oil; gasoline; <br />diesel; propane; wash floor chemicals and wastewater treatment chemicals. <br />The reportable quantity of extremely hazardous chemicals is 500 pounds. This is <br />approximately 30 gallons. An example of an extremely hazardous chemical is sulfuric <br />acid . <br />Requirements <br />• Each November, The Wetlands Company will send the Market Centers the Tier II <br />reporting information from previous year. This must be reviewed and updated and <br />sent back to Wetlands by December 301h <br />• The Wetlands will prepare and submit the required report to the proper agencies. <br />• If you receive any Tier II reporting packages from local and state agencies, please <br />forward the packages to Operations Support at Downers Grove to the attention of <br />Mike Scalise. <br />Tier II Recordkeeping <br />The Wetlands Company will send you copies of the submittal for your file.
