Per Kasey, there is no need o stay a the site the entire time. 6:08 pm, called to Jonathan 510-529-5728, clean-up is in progress. Prepared notice to abate (NTA). 7 pm, arrived onsite, observed clean-up, discussed further action, the facility will continue to excavate until dark and will resume omorrow. Two 20 yard bins were delivered onsite and they will deliver another one if needed. All impacted gravel was removed and pumps are being wiped down with absorbent wipes. Gravel and absorbent wipes and other waste generated during clean-up is being placed into the delivered bins and will remain onsite pending profiling. Provided NTA to David Harder, left the site (8:12 pm, end of response for 5-25-2015). 5-26-2015 (EM) 9:44 am, called David Harder, left a voice message. 9:55 am, received a call from David, all impacted gravel has been removed, hand digging around the pumps is in progress. Filled out short term complaint form. Engineers will be arriving to assess the pump damage and cause of fire. He will provide fire retardant PPE so I can conduct a closer inspection of excavation area. 12:50 pm, arrived onsite. Observed clean-up in progress. 1:30 pm, arrived at the office, discussed the clean-up progress with Kasey, will need to prepare a referral to the Water Board for this release. 5-27-2015 (EM) Prepared Prop 65. Call to David Harder, I will come closer to noon when clean-up should be wrapping up. Received a phone call from Robert Marshall at 11:50 am, who stated that they are ready for my site visit. Arrived onsite, received clearance for picture taking at the spill area from Robert Marshall, took pictures of clean up and the removed bins. 2 pm back in the office, downloaded and printed pictures from 5-25-2015, 5-26-2015 and 5-27-2015, created picture file, emailed pictures to Kasey Folley. Prepared ER record, and a site map. 6-1-2015 (EM) Received a phone call from Kaviko Tupou, Shell Advisor, 310-816-2250, who had questions regarding NTA and waste disposal profile and waste disposal. Went over the notice to abate and explained what type of shipping/waste disposal documentation I will need before I can abate the complaint. 6-4-2015 (EM) Received a phone call from Brad Shelton with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board, who asked about the status of this spill, went over all the clean-up activities.
