LEARWATER
G R O U P, I N C.
'To allow time for. equilibration,of the water-bearing- strata, no water will be
' extracted for 12-18 hours.following- completion -of the- step-drawdown test.
After equilibration, a constant-rate discharge test will.be conducted.
4 - nstant-Rate'-DischargeTest
' During the constant-rate test, .water willbe extracted fro -the well for a
period of approximately X12 hours at the optimal pumping rate derived during
' the step-drawdown test. Water levels will be:measured at frequent, constant 1 time. . intervals in the extraction •well and in one or more neighborin -
monioring wells. Pressure transducers and/or:water level meters will be' .
' used. Although no free product is anticipated at thin site, product thickness
will be monitored if,it is encountered.
'
The pumping- test will 'be 'completed following 12' hours of groundwater
extraction, or when•drawdown has stabilized in the pumping-well, whichever
occurs first., 'For the purpose of this test,-stabilization is defined as follows:
Measured drawdown 'of less than 10-/0 of "the cumulative' drawdown
observed after the second hour of pumping for 3 consecutive hours of
pumping. ;For example, if a total of one foot of drawdown.is measured in
a well after two hours of pumping, the test will be concluded following
three consecutive hourly measurements of an incremental increase in
' drawdown 6f.0-10 foot or less.
Recovery Test
A recovery test will be conducted following the completion of the constant
rate discharge-test. Water levels will be monitored as they recover," following
cessation of ptimping, The data will be;recorded using -the transducers and
' data logger.
D-103WP 7/95
