',18 <br />DIRECT CONNECTION-rm INSTRUCTIONS <br />KEEP ALL FITTINGS AND PIPE ENDS CLEAN!. <br />Note: Direct Connection fittings use two (2) band clamps per fitting installed with bolts <br />opposed or in opposite directions. (See details). <br />1). Clamps are to be placed no more than 1/4 inch apart and the first clamp is to be no <br />more than 1/2" from pipe end, nearest to termination fitting. <br />2). LUBRICATE clamp bolt threads and clamp tongue with WD 40 or light machine oil. <br />Do not lubricate inside of pipe or outside barbed section of termination fittings !. <br />3). For 1.5 inch ID Direct Connection fittings, initial band clamp torque set is 12 foot <br />pounds. For 2.0 inch ID it is 20 foot pounds. NOTE: Tighten clamp nearest pipe <br />termination fitting first. Prior to testing and after all clamps have been torqued, re -check <br />all torque settings. Please call Western Fiberglass for additional or cold weather <br />instructions. <br />CAUTION; USE ONLY FURON/ WESTERN FIBERGLASS APPROVED <br />TERMINATIONS. <br />INSTALLING PIPE LENGTHS: <br />Crossover Supports may be installed over Co -Flex piping to prevent any chafing where <br />two pipe runs cross. <br />After test/crossover boots, and if required crossover supports, have been installed and if <br />used, pipe termination has been swaged on, insert pipe through pipe penetration boots one <br />side at time. Remove penetration hose clamp or loosen first for ease of installation. If <br />using the Direct Connection termination fittings, install pipe into penetration first. <br />
