CHRONOLOGY <br /> THE TRANSMISSION STORE <br /> 515 W. CHARTER WAY <br /> STOCKTON CA 95206 <br /> 10/6/93 On this date ARCO at 441 W. Charter Way installed monitoring well (MW) <br /> 6 (soil boring SB20) on 515 W. Charter to investigate the extent of the <br /> contamination at their site. Soil samples collected at 20.5 and 34.5 feet <br /> below surface grade (BSG) had contamination and the groundwater <br /> samples had high concentrations of contaminants. <br /> 05/05/95 Date of"Evaluation of Off-Site Sources" report for ARCO states that the <br /> highest groundwater contaminant concentrations are off-site at the Texaco <br /> station and this site, the Transmission Store. <br /> 07/10/95 Date of Notice of Reimbursement and San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department (SJC/EHD) letters sent to Rose V. Rodgers, property <br /> owner and Junius McKelvey, lessee notifying them that they are <br /> responsible parties (RP) for the contamination on this site. <br /> 07/24/95 Date of SJC/EHD correspondence requesting a work plan to begin the site <br /> investigation be submitted by 09/01/95. <br /> 11/07/95 An Unauthorized Release Report 95-U36 was completed this date. <br /> 12/28/95 SJC/EHD received a work plan on this date after granting an extension. <br /> 01/10/96 Mr. Don Rodgers, now the RP because he inherited the property, <br /> excavated the site with a backhoe to look for an underground storage tank <br /> (UST), which he found. <br /> 02/07/96 One 550-gallon UST was removed from the site on this date under permit <br /> and inspection of SJC/EHD. <br /> 03/25/96 Date of letter stating the site had been accepted into State Water Board <br /> Cleanup Fund. <br /> 09/17/96- Six soil borings were drilled during this time and five of the borings were <br /> 10/11/96 completed as MW1R and vapor wells (VW) 1,2,3,4. <br /> 02/05/97 Date of Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report that covered work <br /> done in September and October 1996. <br /> 03/25/97 Date on Letter of Commitment from the State Cleanup Fund. <br /> 02/19/98 SJC/EHD approved a work plan for interim soil vapor extraction (SVE) <br /> remediation this date. <br />
