Wilson Way <br />Stockton, California <br />Dear Ms. Abate: <br />MAY 2 2 2003 <br />E_NVI,kUfW_ t1 d F HEALTH <br />PERMIT/SERVICES <br />Via UPS <br />1Z E68 94122 1102 397 9 <br />This letter responds to the Program Inspection Report by the San Joaquin County <br />Environmental Health Department (EHD), dated April 23, 2003, for the ARCO facility <br />identified above. <br />1. Alleged Violation: The UST Program Inspection Report stated that "The 91 leak <br />detector failed. It was replaced with the same model. A permit must be pulled from this <br />office by 4-24-03. New LD serial #02121370." In the corresponding Violation checklist, <br />a check was placed next to "HSC 25291(f) Automatic line leak detector(s)." A check <br />was also placed next to "CCR 2661. Permit to repair UST system." <br />Response: As noted in the Program Inspection Report, a technician from Tait <br />Environmental was present on the day of the inspection and replaced the line leak <br />detector for the 91 -grade tank. <br />As requested in the Inspection Report, a permit application for this repair was submitted <br />by Tait Environmental on April 23, 2003, the same day as the inspection and repair <br />which you observed. Payment was submitted by overnight mail the following day, for <br />delivery on April 25, 2003. As you acknowledged in your May 5, 2003 letter to me, the <br />permit for this repair was issued on April 25, 2003. <br />2. Alleged Violation: The UST Program Inspection Report stated that "Maintenance <br />and monitoring records are not being completed daily. Immediately begin taking daily <br />maintenance and monitoring record. This violation was note[d] on the last inspection of <br />
