' 19 July 2004 <br />• AGE -NC Project No 95-0121 <br />' Page 6 of 9 ` <br />'26 LABORATORY RESULTS OF CPT SOIL SAMPLES <br />A total of seven (7) discrete soil samples were collected from borings CPT -1 through CPT -4 and <br />submitted for laboratory analysis for the aforementioned constituents, soil samples were collected' <br />from CPT -1 at depths of 68 feet and 91 feet, from CPT -2 at depths of 70 feet and 90 feet, from <br />CPT -3 at depth of 68 feet and 91 feet and from CPT -4 at a depth of 61 feet Analytical results of the <br />' - soil samples are summarized in Tables 1 and 2 <br />r <br />TPH-g was detected In soil samples collected from CPT -2 at 70 -feet and 90 -feet at concentrations <br />' of 2 6 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg) and 2 2 mg/kg, respectively The estimated extent of the <br />TPH-g-impacted soil plume Is depicted on cross-sectional view A -A' (Figure 4) <br />' Various BTEX compounds were detected from CPT -1 (91 feet), CPT -2 (70 feet and 90 feet) and <br />CPT -3 (91 feet) at maximum concentrations of 0 13 mg/kg (benzene), 0 34 mg/kg (toluene), 0 12 <br />mg/kg (ethylbenzene) and 0 39 mg/kg (total xylenes) <br />10 <br />.0 <br />MTBE was not detected above laboratory reporting limits in any of the soil samples analyzed <br />1,2 -DCA was detected In the soil sample collected from CPT -2 at 70 feet at a concentration of 0 010 <br />mg/kg <br />No other petroleum hydrocarbon constituents or fuel oxygenated compounds were detected by <br />laboratory analysis The laboratory report (CTEL Project Number CT214-0402032) and chain-of- <br />custody <br />hain-ofcustody forms are presented in Appendix C, GeoTracker confirmation pages of the submitted <br />laboratory electronic deliverable format (EDF) files are included In Appendix D <br />2 7 LABORATORY RESULTS OF CPT "GRAB" GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br />A total of fourteen (14) "grab" ground water samples were collected from bonngs CPT -1 through <br />CPT -4 and submitted for laboratory analysis for the above mentioned constituents Petroleum <br />hydrocarbon constituents were detected in a total of seven CPT `grab' groundwater samples from <br />CPT -1 between 96-99 feet (HU5), from CPT -2 between 47-50 feet (HU4), 65-68 feet (HU5), 79-82 <br />feet (HU5) and 95-98 feet (HU5), and from CPT -3 between 50-53 feet (HU4) and 73-76 feet (HU5) <br />Analytical results of the CPT `grab' ground water samples are summarized in Table 3 <br />TPH-g was detected from the above seven CPT `grab' water samples at concentrations between 270 <br />and 30,000 micrograms per liter (µg/1) The highest TPH-g concentrations detected were from CPT -2 <br />between 47 and 50 feet bsg (HU4) TPH-g was detected In the deepest sample from CPT -1 between <br />96 and 99 feet bsg (HU5) The estimated extent of the' TPH-g-Impacted ground water plume is <br />depicted In cross-sectional view A -A' (Figure 5) <br />s <br />Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br />
