One
boring is proposed in the vicinity of MW-1, which is the well containing the highest 1,2-
DCA concentrations.
• Cambria proposes installing four groundwater monitoring wells at the locations shown on j
Figure 2. These wells are located east and i ortheast of MW-1 to monitor groundwater
quality in the downgradient direction.
1
• TAME, ETBE, DIPE, ethanol, methanol, and ethylene dibronude (EDB) have not been
detected in soil or groundwater samples collected at this site. These data suggest that these
' : 1
compounds are not components of the release that occurred at this site. Therefore we;are
proposing that analysis for these compounds not be performed on soil and groundwater
samples during this investigation. The primary focus'of this investigation is the compound
1,2-DCA.
Work Tasks
Permits: After receiving written approval from E for this work plan, Cambria will submit an
application for a drilling permit to the EHD for each parcel where drilling is proposed. Cambria
will also, pursue a right of entry agreement with the adjacent property owner for placement of
monitoring wells on his/her property.
Site Safety Plan:A Site Safety Plan will be prepared for field work.
Utility Clearance:Proposed drilling locations will te marked and their locations cleared through
Underground Service Alert prior to drilling.
Site Investigation:Five soil borings (SB-5 through 1,B-9) and four groundwater monitoring wells
(MW-5 through MW-9) are proposed at the locatioi is shown on Figure 2. The soil borings will
be drilled with cone penetration testing (CPT) equ pment and the well borings will be drilled
with hollow-stem auger drilling equipment. A C mbria geologist will supervise the drilling
activities and describe encountered soils using the Unified Soil Classification System and
1511 3
5
