A
I
I
I
wells at the Site were destroyed in accordance with California well destruction guidelines and
SJCE$D requirements.
During March and April 2004, Evans Brothers Construction(Evans Brothers) completed the
i
RAP excavations under the oversight of Treadwell&Rollo personnel. Confirmation samples
were collected from the base and sidewalls of each excavation in accordance with the RD IP. If a
confirmation sample exceeded the RAOs, excavation continued until all RAOs were met. The
RAP excavations comprised approximately 2,645 cubic yards (cy) of soil, which were stockpiled
and sampled for landfill characterization. All of the soil excavated from the RAP excavations
(3,784 tons) was disposed of offsite at appropriate, landfills. After the laboratory analytical
results for the confirmation samples indicated that all RAOs were met, Evans Brothers backfilled
the RAP excavations up to the previous grade with soil from other parts of the Site that was
excavated for development of the new baseball stadium and indoor sports arena.
ES 4.0 Conclusions
Based on the soil remedial activities conducted, established RAOs, and the confirmation
sampling results, the remediation proposed in the RAP and RDIP has been successfully
completed, and No Further Action is recommended for Site soil. Once the deed restrictions.for
i
the Site have been completed, we understand that the DTSC will prepare a letter certifying that
r
the work has been satisfactorily completed.
r
i
3
a
i
25971025.DGD 4 11 August 2005
