1
' remaining monitoring well casing, if any, is assumed buried beneath graded soil
(Figure 9).
' LMW-6
t The estimated former LMW-6 site is located within a planned residential area west
of the Golden Valley Parkway (Figure 2). On November 26, 2003, Kleinfelder
representatives noted that heavy machinery was operating in the area. The
monitoring well was reported as "Gone" on December 16, 2003. Almost two years
later (August, 2005), the estimated former LMW-6 site is located beneath a home
pad (Figure 10), and the remaining monitoring well PVC casing, if any, is assumed
' buried beneath graded fill.
P-3
' The estimated former P-3 piezometer site is located within a planned residential
area (Figure 2). It was last monitored by Kleinfelder representatives on November
' 11, 2004. On February 23, 2005, HydroFocus, Inc. personnel documented that P-
3 was within the planned location of a residential street intersection (Figure 11).
By May 2005, site visits revealed that P-3 had been destroyed by grading and
construction activities. Presently (August, 2005), underground utilities have been
installed and the initial road excavation has been filled and graded. The remaining
piezometer PVC casing, if any, is assumed buried beneath graded fill.
P-7 and P-8
The former locations of P-7 and P-8 are in an orchard, south of the planned
Golden Valley Parkway. Kleinfelder personnel last monitored these piezometers
in April 2004. In May 2004, Kleinfelder personnel reported that both piezometers
' were found to have been ripped from the ground by farming activities. Presently
(August, 2005), the site remains an orchard.
LMW-5
The estimated former LMW-5 site is located adjacent to Manthey Road and on the
' east side of agricultural disposal field 52a (Figure 2). Kleinfelder representatives
first reported LMW-5 as damaged on May 27, 2004, and "Gone" by September 27,
2004. In August 2005, the site consists of a graded shoulder and fenced soil berm
surrounding field 52a (Figure 12). Construction activities have likely buried any
remnant PVC casing from former monitoring well LMW-5.
' The precise location of LMW-5 relative to future land application of reclaimed
water can be inferred from historical and present-day conditions. When LMW-5
was installed, its location was within the area constrained by Manthey Road to the
' east and farming operations to the west. A February 23, 2005 photograph taken
by HydroFocus, Inc. (Figure 12) shows the remains of well LMW-5, and indicates
the well was probably located about 10-feet from the edge of Manthey road (the
width of the vehicle in the photograph is six feet).
