CHOW ENGINEERING,INC. • • <br /> 7 May 2001 <br /> compliance with training requirements for CE employee, subcontractor employees and <br /> visitors will be verified prior to admission into all controlled work areas. <br /> 2.0 Scope of Work <br /> The Scope of Work for this project includes; <br /> 1) Mark sediment sampling and excavation locations for USA clearance, <br /> 2) Sediment sample collection and analysis, <br /> 3) Excavation of petroleum hydrocarbon impacted soil, <br /> 4) Stockpiling of excavated sediments, <br /> 5) Disposal of excavated sediments <br /> 6) Excavation of soil for installation of new machine foundation, <br /> 7) Backfilling of excavations with imported sediment, and <br /> 8) Preparation of a project report. <br /> All work will be accomplished in a controlled, safe and professional manner. <br /> Additionally, work will be performed in accord with the project specifications, Scope of <br /> Work presented in the proposal for the work (copy attached) and accepted industry <br /> practices. <br /> 3.0 Responsibilities <br /> It is the responsibility of CE's Health and Safety Manager, Maurice Baron, to implement <br /> this SP. Regular observations of work operations and enforcement of the safety policy <br /> and procedures shall be performed by Rodger Berzinski, Site Health Safety Officer <br /> (SSO). It is the responsibility of the SSO, with concurrence with Mr. Baron, to correct <br /> unsafe practices or conditions immediately. <br /> It is the responsibility of CE to ensure that all employees understand and adhere to the <br /> procedures of this plan and to follow the instructions of the Crew Foreman/SHSO. <br /> It is the responsibility of the employee to make management aware of any unsafe or <br /> hazardous conditions or work practices that may cause injury to either themselves or <br /> any other employee. Either Mr. Baron or Mr. Clark will approve, in writing, changes to <br /> the SP. <br /> As the job progresses, the SP shall be reviewed by a qualified person, to determine if <br /> additional practices, procedures or training need to be implemented. Workers shall be <br /> notified and trained, if necessary, in the new procedures.
