Relay to your samplers the 2
working day MINIMUM notice the EHD requires for this event. I 'll let you know if any problem
with the grout remains .thank you
I look forward to the pending report submittal . I strongly suggest I get, as well as anyone
reading it, that the status of the site is understood and the short and long range plans are
completely included and discussed , complete with anticipated dates the actions will hopefully
occur,
as for remediation at your site , IRAP or full RAP , or just waiting, I' m sorry for any confusion . I
didn't make it clear my 'waiting' for the adjacent site to progress would cause this long delay
with your site continuing your required progress . With the deteriorating financial situation at the
adjacent site , it seems NO plan for them to enact their approved work plan is even in the
works . I am dealing with that. So , Chevron does not need to wait any longer. Please
start/include this site in your plans to investigate , define, evaluate need/types of remediation ,
and progressing this site to qualifying for NFA , the months of just monitoring are over.
Anticipate a strong response from the EHD to CHevron's next report with the intent of getting
this site back in the 'progressing adequately' column . Plan on moving this site forward without
delays . Whatever step is next, be it feasibility study, pilot test, IRAP with concurrent offsite
investigation or etc , I will be requiring a submittal very very soon . I 've taken enough heat from
the SWRCB for 20 year old sites just monitoring , not remediating , and not qualified for NFA .
thank you in advance for your cooperation .
mike.
From: McKenna, Stephanie [mailto:smckenna@chevron .com]
Sent: Wednesday, November 03, 2010 5 : 09 PM
To: Mike Infurna [EH]
Cc: tonya. myers@arcadis-us.com; Evans, David
Subject: RE: former Chevron 94054
Hi Mike,
I am sorry to hear you were unhappy and frustrated with the most recent Semi-Annual GWMR. We
recently changed the format a bit in the hopes of streamlining the effort that goes into them . That said ,
Tonya and I spoke today, our thoughts are below.
1 ) Thank you for letting us know about the well boxes needing more grout. We will get Cascade out
to the site top them off prior to the First 2011 Semi Annual M&S event, no later than February 2011
depending on their schedule .
11 /18/2010
