Page i of L
Mike Infuma [EH]
From: Mike Infurna[EH]
Sent: Thursday, May 03,2007 9:41 AM
To: 'gkowtha@stratusinc.net'
Subject: RE: USA#835
Attachments: 2705 Co Club SRs 0050443 &444 Scanned_.pdf
Attached please find TWO SJCEHD permits for work at 2705 Country Club. One is for 6 onsite MWs and the
other for ONE offsite, City ROW (MW-17).
Please confirm start date and time.
From: Gowri Kowtha [mailto:gkowtha@stratusinc.net]
Sent: Thursday, May 03, 2007 10:09 AM
To: Mike Infurna [EH]
Cc: Allan Dudding
Subject: RE: USA #835
Importance: High
Mike:
Sorry for the confusion.
Wells MW-11, MW-15, MW-16, MW-17 and MW-20 will be installed using a Hollow stem augur rig to
depths ranging between 20 and 25 depending on geology to monitor first encountered groundwater.
Wells MW-11 and MW-20 are 4-inch diameter wells. Wells MW-11 and MW-20 will be drilled with 8-inch
augurs for sampling purposes, and the borehole will be drilled out using 10-inch augurs prior to well
installation. We had this option open, as we had planned on using a limited access rig for all shallow
wells. If a limited access rig is not being used (now that we have two mobs), then the 4-inch dia wells will
be installed using 10-inch augurs.
Wells MW-12, MW-13, MW-14, MW-18, MW-19, MW-21 will be installed using a sonic rig (to avoid
conductor casings)will all be 2-inch diameter wells. These wells are planned to be installed to depths
ranging between 45 and 48 feet bgs. The bore holes for these wells will be cleared (vacuumed/pumped)
of any groundwater, within the upper 30 feet bgs per Table (page 6) provided in Stratus work plan dated
April 7, 2006. All the wells installed using sonic rig will use 9-inch diameter threaded steel casings.
Centralizes will be used in all wells during installation.
Hope that helps.
-----Original Message-----
From: Mike Infurna [EH] [mailto:MInfurna@sjcehd.com]
Sent: Wednesday, May 02, 2007 3:58 PM
To: gkowtha@stratusinc.net
Subject: USA #835
Gowri,
Clear up some techno stuff for me about sonic vs hollow stem for this site's pending drill.
5/3/2007
