Based on the
test data, it appears the radius of influence encompasses most of
the area of concern. Monitoring conducted on outlying perimeter
wells sometime during the operation of the system can confirm the
actual radius of influence being experienced for the site.
Operation of the proposed vapor extraction system should begin as
soon as permitting and construction allow. PHS/EHD should be
kept appraised of the system operation, including all data
generated, any problems associated with system operation, the
steps taken to correct any problems, the total volume of air
processed and the volume of hydrocarbons removed. The vapor
extraction system status report should be submitted with the
regular quarterly status report for the site.
PHS/EHD must provide public notification of the proposed remedial
alternative to any nearby neighbors that may be affected.
PHS/EHD will provide this notification by posting the site.
PHS/EHD will notify you in writing when the public notification
is complete.
Pursuant to California Code of Regulations Title 23, Chapter 16,
Article 11 (Corrective Action Regulations) , Section
2725(e) (g) (enclosed for your reference) , the Final Remedial Plan
must include an assessment of the impact of the contamination to
groundwater, the current and potential beneficial uses of
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
